6 tips for a more Mindful Morning (WITH your kids)

Here are SIX tips for creating an easy mindful morning that will prepare and energize you and your kids at the start of the day.

Creating an easy, mindful morning routine that helps prepare you and your kids for the week and leaves you more energized can be a great way to start the day.

Here are some tips to get you started.

  1. Wake up before your kids, 15 to 20 minutes.  Give yourself time to meditate. Read. Drink the coffee, maybe do some gentle stretching. Allow yourself to start your day in a relaxed way.

  2. After everyone gets dressed, make sure that everyone has access to a nutritious breakfast.  Whether they eat it or not!

  3.  Try to set aside a few minutes of quiet time. Allowing you and your kids to reflect on the day ahead. This is a great place to insert some positive affirmations. Here are a few examples:

    • I am strong.

    • I am loved.

    • I am smart

    • I am safe.

  4. Start your day by naming one thing you're grateful for. Maybe it's your kids, or your job. The air we breathe. A beautiful sunny day. Add this to your daily routine tomorrow and see how he turns your days more positively.

  5. Set a positive intention for the day. Like to be patient. To be kind. To be more peaceful. Or to be a good listener.

  6. Last  take a few deep breaths together with your kids. Remind them about the power of their breath in a fun way, by describing to them how their breath is their anchor, and that they can return to it any time they need to throughout the day  to help themselves feel as good as they will after your mindful morning routine.

Follow a few of these simple ideas. And see how your mornings get more easy and mindful, just like magic!
